A working meeting in Meppel focused on making youth mobility more visible and protecting accessible funding for Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps.
The meeting
The Erasmus+ Visibility Meeting brought together practitioners in Meppel, the Netherlands, to examine how youth mobility programmes are communicated, who can access European funding, and how grassroots organisations can remain visible in debates on the next EU long-term budget.
1000 voices: 1000 real stories
During the meeting, we developed a campaign inviting people to document the concrete impact of Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps. The idea is simple: collect 1,000 personal stories on a shared map and bring lived experience into conversations with politicians, decision-makers, and key stakeholders.
The campaign asks participants to share where they are from, where their mobility took them, a photograph or video from the experience, and a short reflection on what changed for them. The goal is to protect and strengthen accessible youth mobility opportunities by showing that these programmes are not abstract budget lines—they are real experiences with lasting personal and social impact.
