Challenge Accepted
The first in-person phase of an Erasmus+ programme developing creative problem-solving for people involved in international voluntary service.

The programme
Challenge Accepted was a multi-stage Erasmus+ programme for people involved in international voluntary service. It focused on recognising challenges in voluntary-service activities and developing practical, creative responses through collaboration, experimentation, reflection, and learner-centred methods.
The training course in Spain
The first in-person phase took place from 25 February to 4 March 2023 in the northern mountain range of Madrid, near Bustarviejo, and was hosted by De Amicitia. Participants examined what was missing or not working in their international-volunteering practice, explored their strengths and values, and developed solutions designed to create stronger social impact.
From Spain to the Netherlands
Between March and June, participants applied the lessons from the training in their own contexts. The programme then continued with an evaluation seminar in Lage Vuursche, the Netherlands, from 3 to 8 July 2023, hosted by SIW International Volunteer Projects. That second phase offered space to review the challenges addressed, share results, and consolidate the learning developed across the programme.
